Raw riot: born in the cold flame of northern paradise

Carpet Dime is a Hard Rock quartet formed in 2015 in Stockholm by Linn Harstäde (Gotland, SE), lead singer, influenced by Foo Fighters, Halestorm, and Europe. The band is known for adrenaline-fueled, energetic live performances and a get-things-done DIY attitude. Their music is driven by Tim Eriksson's (SE) drumming style inspired by Iron Maiden with a hint of jazz. The third member, bassist Konrad Kienitz (PL), whose years of professional experience in Poland’s most prestigious venues, provide a solid foundation and outline the dynamic rhythm section. And lastly; the powerful, eclectic and playful guitar work by Yasa Akbulut (TR) bring in the unmistakable sound of hard rock that keeps the heads a-bangin' and the faces a-meltin'.

Linn Harstäde

Vocals

In high school, Linn immersed herself in music, embracing every opportunity to perform. From bassist in “Forgiven” to the choir stalls of the church, her passion for song knew no bounds. Though her songwriting began at twelve, her early compositions remained hidden.

Influenced by icons like Lzzy Hale and Steven Tyler, Linn’s musical tapestry is rich and diverse. As the main organiser of the Solberga festival, she orchestrates a celebration of music, uniting artists and audiences in harmony. Through her melodies and dedication, Linn’s journey is a testament to the enduring power of passion and creativity.

Tim Eriksson

Drums

At 14, Tim discovered his passion for drumming, setting the beat for a lifelong love affair with music. His high school years were a symphony of study, refining his skills and embracing the diverse influences that would shape his sound.

In 2013, Tim founded Sharp Bone, channelling his devotion to hard rock and heavy metal into their electrifying debut album in 2018. Inspired by legends like Iron Maiden and Megadeth, his drumming also echoes the jazz stylings of Dave Weckl and Steve Gadd, crafting a unique fusion of genres.

With every thunderous roll and intricate fill, Tim’s rhythmic prowess resonates, leaving an indelible mark on the musical landscape and inspiring others to find their own beat.

Konrad Kienitz

Bass

Konrad Kientz’s musical journey is a vivid testament to rock’s enduring spirit. With roots reaching back to the vibrant 80s and 90s, he built his reputation playing bass with legendary acts such as Nediam, Idiosyncrazis, Vivid, Guitars Project, and Intolerance. Beyond his role as a bassist, Konrad’s talents as a composer, arranger, and studio innovator have established him as a multifaceted force in the music scene.

Now an integral part of Carpet Dime, Konrad infuses the group with a fresh blend of hard rock, progressive nuance, and punk edge. Besides of playing in the band, he is also the owner of Kienitz Production company.

Yasa Akbulut

Guitar

Yasa draws inspiration from a diverse set of bands and genres. As a teenager, he found his guitar hero in Joe Satriani, the intricacy of progressive music in Dream Theater and the essential rock vocabulary in Deep Purple. As he moved further into his musical journey, he added jazz, electronica and stoner rock into his influences.

A natural performer on stage, his motto PLAY MORE keeps him engaged in many musical projects, both live (such as Case Deflection), and produced (such as Yasa).
